| Winchester Steel is an extraordinary gray proven herdsire. When bred to white or fawn females, he throws gray 90% of the time. Winchester is 10 1/2 years old but looks and acts like a 4-5 year old. He is constantly aware of where the females are and is an excellent breeder. I'd love for Winchester to go to a great home and continue to be used by a suri breeder who wants to produce gray Suris. Gunner is a very nice, well balanced macho with beautiful coloration. He is dense and his fiber has a soft, cool hand. Gunner is very sweet and mild mannered. He has excellent, proven suri genetics with lots of color in his background.
Gunner is very special to me. He will eat grain, apples, pears, and carrots from your hand. He's not real into being petted, but will rest his head on your shoulder when you're standing around and is personable in a non-petting way. He's entertaining and photogenic. Gunner is halter trained and very easy to handle.
Gunner is 14 now, he is still healthy and robust, he recently settled a few females, but he tends to get a bit arthritic when cold winters hit. I think he would be happier in a warmer climate, and so although I am listing him for sale, he is only for sale to a home with milder winters than here in west central IL. I would love to see him go somewhere where the temps don't go below zero. He has a hard time handling below zero weather.
